ABOUT THE COFFEE

Named after another famous piece of audio equipment, the Teletronix LA-2A levelling amplifier. LA-2A consist of 3 origins - Ethiopia, India, Colombia.

LA-2A is a lighter, more forward blend displaying bright acids and a medium body with floral aromas and flavours of stone fruit and blackberries and a long and fruity finish.

LA-2A has been awarded 6 times with 4 coming at the international level for both espresso and milk based categories.

Whilst LA-2A is another all-rounder and well suited to any brew method, filter, full emersion, AeroPress and moka pot are where we think it shines. These brew methods allow the delicate balance between the two origins to play out while the espresso method concentrates this balance for a more viscous liquor with stand out acids and body.

  • For Espresso

LA-2A is best brewed using the following recipe of dose, yield and time.

1:2 brew ratio (20g in for 40g out) over 28-30 seconds. This is more inline with contemporary espresso techniques and allows LA-2A to showcase it’s delicacy.

  • For Filter

LA-2A is best brewed as a filter using the following recipe.

1:16 brew ratio (15g in for roughly 250g out)

  • For Cold Brew

LA-2A is best brewed as a cold brew using the following recipe.
1:16 brew ratio (140g in for 1L out)

  • For Stove Top

LA-2A is best brewed as a cold brew using the following recipe.
1:16 brew ratio (140g in for 1L out)
